Wet rock

Gritstone changes colour and texture depending on the weather conditions. Water makes it look polished, with an almost metalic look. The texture of the rock is complimented by the fine pattern of dying grass bleached of colour. In this hollow, there was some protection from the high wind and bitter cold conditions. That day in October was challenging. I fell and tore a calf muscle, and had to limp the final two miles to get back to safety. This image was hard earned!
